Why My Mom Doesn't Like Obama Anymore

About halfway through, when Hillary is asked why everyone likes Obama better. She reacts. He interjects a comment. I don't see it as having been as mean a comment as my mom does. But boy is she angry at him. What do you think?

And she had a really great opening line on her speech tonight. I agree with that.

I think he meant it as a friendly comment. If your mom has watched the debates (as I am sure she has) she will notice that there are a lot of back and forth comments similar to that one by Obama. Generally attempts at humor. The Democrats I think have gone out of their way not to fight with each other (so far) because they are thinking ahead to the general election. JMO!

I have just finished a call to my daughter who was driving over the Yorkshire Dales of this small island off Europe, seemingly a world away from New Hampshire.
We agreed that we have both tried but failed to understand your election process.
So CD, what about an Idiots Guide or Flowchart for E.T's?

I should add that Karl Rove considers that moment a major part of the New Hampshire result, so maybe your mom was typical of a lot of voters and I just don't get it.

FYI---I was not the only person who interpreted Obama's remark in an unfavorable light---after the debate several of the commentators referred to it as "curt" and wondered if it would adversely affect him.

He was smug. He outsmugged a stage full of presidential candidates. That puts the 'ug' in 'smug'. I walked out of that debate liking Hillary a LOT more than in the past...and liking Obama less...

Maybe it's my Minnesota-nice-o-meter, but I'm with your mom on this one.

WTF? I read title and then the comments while the video played and I waited for this crazy mean comment and then I got, "You're likable enough, Hillary". That was it? That was what you guys are talking about? CD, that is why your mom doesn't like Obama? WTF? Come on. Seriously, that was absolutely nothing. I agree with him, she is likable enough. You only really need to be likable "enough" to be president or any elected official, for that matter. This is silly.

I have to agree with Josh -- it came off to me as just banter.
