And By 5:35, I Was A Lawyer

That's me and State Senator S. Joseph Simitian, for whom I worked during the Hastings Legislation Clinic and who was kind enough to administer the oath. With just a simple sentence and a few signatures, 3 and a half years of school (well, 3 and that false start bit in 2004, you're welcome, John Kerry), 3 months of bar cramming, 3 months of waiting for the results, and a sum of money I really hate thinking about, all came to a close.

Anyone feeling a bit more litigious today? I know I am . . . .

Reader Bonus: Okay kids, we haven't had a caption contest in quite awhile here - so if you feel so moved, go nuts. But be nice. We're a friendly blog and points are awarded for creativity and wit, not for snark. At least not when directed its directed at me or at my milestones.

Or just leave general messages of congratulations and good will. That's neighborly as well.

Awesome, CD! I can't think of a better place to take the oath.

The levitating head and detached hands of Sen. Simitian attack hapless intern on Senate floor!!

Did that camera have a flash? Does every lawyer get sworn in at midnight on a new moon in a cave 1000ft underground?

Seriously....congrats!
