E tu, Zocalo?

This is a great lecture series held at the stunning LA Central Library. Zocalo routinely showcases fascinating voices - writers, scholars, artists, etc - as part of their "Public Square" Lecture Series. They are all free and they even come with a nifty reception.

So imagine my dismay when I received their regular email update only to see that on June 19, Zocalo will host the Evil Chick Blogger Whose Name I Will Not Speak And To Whose Site I Will Not Link. [insert rage here]

Gary Phillips on "The New LA Noir" - sign me up. Evil One giving us "the lowdown on life inside the beltway?" Not a damn chance. Get outta my city, oh ruiner of a perfectly good domain name.

Rant over.
