Cover-Ups and Campaigns

Krugman addresses the Bush Administration's culture of cover-ups today, citing the recent disclosure of the loss of 377 tons of explosives from Iraq (falling under the category of Major News Items I've Missed Since I Hit The Trail). It's good - check it out.

Speaking strictly for myself, I can read the news on my own and while your coverage of particular articles is always very insightful, I am particularly enjoying the "day in the life of an election volunteer" stuff way better.
Keep up the good work and remember, you can sleep after the victory party.

NBC reports that these explosives were already gone when troops arrived.

Fred - thanks for the feedback. The day-in-the-life angle is relatively new on this site - sure there were anecdotes before, not infrequently, either, but I did sort of aim to keep things less about me and more about the world and stuff. Since I have had little time to keep up with the outside world, things have slid into the dear-diary realm. It's okay, because now I'm - arguably - doing something interesting. Sorta. But I'm not really doing it justice, frankly.

So thanks for liking the recent stuff. But expect things to become more "read this now" and less "today I" when my life gets back to normal. if it ever does.

and don't worry, i won't be sleeping until nov 3 at the earliest.
