NBC - Late and Unnecessary

I know I've said this before - but, and, not to borrow a Reep line, in a post-9/11 world, the scary music and drums that signify a "Special Report" should only be used for actually, big, special, scary things.

Yes, President Bill Clinton's potential heart surgery is a big deal. Sorta. The coverage I'm watching has medical experts confirming what anyone with grandparents or older parents already knows - bypass surgery isn't as dangerous as it used to be. A stent is a great medical advancement.

At any rate - about 40 minutes ago, ABC had this story up in "Special Report" form.

So, dear network news - save the serious music for serious times.

Wonder how long until the Reeps accuse Clinton of faking it for a bump in Dem activism. He is our Reagan, after all.
