Bush Creates One New Job

See, you naysayers stil think he has no jobs program . . . .

The President is supposed to announce any minute his intention to follow one of the 9/11 Commissions's recommendations - to create a national intelligence director. What's that? We have a Nation Security Administration? And a Central Intelligence Agency? Sure, but what we need is a national intellegence center - see how that works? See how it combines the language of the other two into one new layer of government?

And it won't be part of the executive branch. Who will provide oversight? I dunno. Does it matter? Do we think this organization will be effective? Think there won't be massive ego-tripping at the NSA, CIA, FBI and everywhere else?

All of this action on a day when New York, New Jersey, and DC are put under heightened alert for really-credible-no-we-mean-it-this-time-and-everyone-agrees-this-is-the-best-least-precise-information-we've-gotten-so-far threats. Of course, Americans Urged to Stick to Routines Despite Terror Alert, naturally.

Seems like that routine is blind allegiance and willful ignorance with a side of being lied to by the current Administration.

I feel safer already, you?
