He Writes the Songs That Make the Whole World Sing

The George W Bush Singers's first album, "Songs in the Key of W," dropped today. It's the first release from True Believer Records (great name, eh?).

Early reviews are good. Other execs involved with its development say that while Fahrenheit 9/11 is an op-ed, this record is purely satirical. If you click on the link, you can go listen to clips. One Phoblog reader says it's more like "fun with real audio" than the kind of all out songs he had hoped for - and he's right, it's no Capitol Steps. However, this is really him - no augmenting required. Just some good background harmonies while the President hangs himself on his own malapropisms and mistakes.

Apparently, if you really like what you hear, not only can you buy the CD, but you can also get a mug, lunch box, or even a Singers doggie t-shirt. Now that's true believer-ism.
